It's timely to consider what goals we want to set for 2015. It's also useful to think about what could be limiting in achieving these goals...so let's consider what we tell ourselves that keep us from reaching our goals.
I work on the basis that it takes 30 days to create a new habit and / or break an old habit. I've since discovered that this view has no real science to back it up and another study found it takes more like 66 days on average to establish a new routine.
So while it probably depends more on the person and the complexity of the habit to make or break the change, the bottom line is that it takes time to get into this new routine. So keep focused on the end game while you create the new pattern.
